Water Scale Control

Water formed scales occur when minerals precipitate out of the waters from a well and gather onto the surface equipment, flow lines, or downhole tubular goods. Some contributing factors to scale precipitation are: pH, temperature, pressure, dissolved salts, dissolved gases, and water compatibility among others.

One of the most effective ways to combat the different variations of scale is to use a scale inhibitor specifically formulated to prevent the waters minerals from precipitating.

At Cochran Chemical Company, we have several different scale inhibitors to address the different types of scale and environments in which they occur.  We also have scale removal products available to help restore formation and system productivity where scale precipitation has already occurred.
